Justice B.G. Kolse-Patil started Gangadhar Baba Chhatralaya in 1997 in Guha. It is a small village in Ahemadnagar district of state of Maharashtra in India.

Initially he donated 11 acres of fertile land which included a house and a well. He started the Chhatralaya with the intention of helping under-privileged and needy orphans by providing them shelter along with education and the other basic needs.

Today the Chhatralaya houses 70 orphan children.
