Donation Methods

Q. What are the methods of making a donation to 'Beyond Intent'?
You can either make a donation by sending a check in the mail or you can donate online by using Google CheckOut or Paypal here.

Q. Is it safe to donate online?
'Beyond Intent' does not handle your personal or financial information or sell your contact information to third parties. 'Beyond Intent' uses recognized and secure Google CheckOut and Paypal to process credit cards. Your information will be safe in your accounts with Google or Paypal. 'Beyond Intent' claims no responsibility for managing your personal or financial data.

Q. Can I donate in a currency other than United States dollars?
We do not accept donations in currencies other then United States Dollars.

Q. Can I donate in the honor or memory of someone?
Yes, you can donate in the honor or memory of someone. If you wish, this information will be shared on our website.

Q. Can I make a recurring donation?
Yes, Paypal and Google CheckOut, both offer a way to configure your account to make a recurring donation. In addition, other payment options such as check payment are also available for making recurring donation.

Q. What percentage of the donation amount will actually be utilized for the proposed project?
Approximately 97% of the donation amount will actually be utilized for the proposed project. The remaining 3% amount will be used for administrative costs, for example - paying transaction charges for processing credit card transactions.

Q. Who should checks be made payable to?
The checks should be made payable to 'Beyond Intent'.

Q. Are there any hidden or additional fees in addition to the donation amount?
No, there are no additional or hidden fees.

Q. How can I make a corporate contribution?
We do accept corporate donations. Please contact us at contact@beyondintent.org to discuss this further.

Q. How can I keep track of how my contribution is spent?
You will be able to track how your contribution is spent by either signing up to receive email alerts about the project you are contributing towards. Alternatively, you can check the project progress updates and other funds related information on our website.

Q. Can I make a financial contribution directly to a 'Beyond Intent' project?
Yes, you can choose a project and direct your donations towards one project.

Q. Can I make an anonymous donation?
Yes. You may choose not to disclose your details and still give to 'Beyond Intent'. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Q. What details do I need to provide when I use check to donate?
For checks, please complete our donation form. Most of the information is optional except name and address which is required if you need a receipt for your donation.

Q. What will I see on my bank statement / credit card statement?
Your bank statement will show the words "'Beyond Intent'" along with the donation amount.

Q. Can I make a donation on phone?
Unfortunately, we do not accept donations over the phone.
Q. Will I be able to receive a refund of my donation? What is your refund policy?
Yes, you will be able to receive a refund within 30 days. Please refer to our refund policy.

 

Receipts

Q. Do I get a receipt for a donation I make to 'Beyond Intent'?
For donations received online, you will automatically receive an email you’re your donation receipt. If you prefer to receive the donation receipt in the mail, please inform us. We will gladly send you a paper receipt. Both, email receipts and paper receipts, can be used to claim tax deductions. For checks received in the mail, we will send out paper receipt to the address provided by you if the donation amount is $50 or more.

Q. Do I get a duplicate receipt?
You will need to contact us at donations@beyondintent.org if you need a duplicate receipt for the donation you have already made. We will be able to issue a duplicate receipt. It will be issued in exactly the same name as it had on the original receipt and will be sent to the same person only after details have been verified.

Q. Within how many days of making a donation can I expect a receipt?
For online donations, you should automatically get a receipt in less than one hour by email. For Checks, if you provided your email address, a receipt will be emailed to you as soon as the transaction gets processed by the bank.

 

Privacy

Q. Will you protect my privacy?
Yes. We do not share any information with any third party.

Q. How safe is my personal information with 'Beyond Intent' on the Beyond Intent's site?
'Beyond Intent' does not save your personal information. Google CheckOut and Paypal accept your information for processing your donations and do not share it with us.

Taxes

Q. Are there any tax benefits for donating to 'Beyond Intent'?
Beyond Intent is a 501(C)(3) exempt organization - all donations to 'Beyond Intent' are tax exempt and receipts are provided for each donation.

Q. Can a donor get a copy of 501(C)(3) if required?
Yes, you may request a copy of 501(c)3 approval. It is also available on our website here.

Q. How do I contact you regarding my donation?

Q. How do I keep myself regularly informed about Beyond Intent's activities?
Please email us at contact@beyondintent.org and we will enroll you in our mailing list. You may also choose to join a mailing list specific to a particular project.

Q. Does 'Beyond Intent' allow me to monitor my contributions?
The project details, progress and financial data related to project will always be available on our website at http://www.beyondintent.org. If you are interested in receiving more information, please write to us at contact@beyondintent.org. We publish our financial information annually and the same will be available on our website.

Q. If I have an urgent request or a problem related to my donation, is there a number where I can reach a member of the donor services team?
