'Beyond Intent'
'Beyond Intent' is an organization that undertakes:
- Charity based educational projects
- Education related infra-structural projects
Mr. Piyush Gupta, Mr. Satyanarayanan Ranganathan and Mr. Sandeep Kolte founded ‘Beyond Intent’ in January 2007.
Each of the founders has received a Master's degree in various fields of technology and is currently employed as a professional in some of the finest corporations.
Mr. Piyush Gupta’s visit to Vyapar Mandal Kanya Degree College (Women’s College) in the summer of 2006 made him realize that there was a dire need to support such institutes which help people pursue higher education.
Mr. Sandeep Kolte has previously been involved with a number of non-profit organizations based in India since 2005 and has managed various projects at Gangadhar Baba Orphanage, among others. He brings extensive experience in working with Non Profit Organizations as well as Non Government Organizations, especially at the grass root levels. He continues to provide valuable advice, bring in new projects as well as manage a variety of projects and assignments with 'Beyond Intent'.
The founders of ‘Beyond Intent’ place a great value on higher education and its ability to bring about a social change. ‘Beyond Intent’ strongly believes that education is the most potent weapon against poverty.
‘Beyond Intent’ was incorporated in California on May 1, 2007 and received 501(c)(3) tax exempt status in January 2008.
While there are quite a few non-profit organizations that aim their efforts towards primary education, there are not many that work for students who aspire for higher studies. Our organization believes that to truly uplift a community one has to look beyond just basic literacy; the community will prosper only if its people pursue education. Education not only helps the individual succeed and grow but the society as a whole. ‘Beyond Intent’ is also open to support students in need of primary and/or middle-level schooling. ‘Beyond Intent’ believes that a lack of good living conditions are the biggest impediments to education, hence it also plans to support projects, which will have a positive impact on improving the basic standard of living. The needs may be rudimentary but are a crucial requirement for a healthy living; therefore ‘Beyond Intent’ initially plans to take up basic projects to improve the infrastructure like setting up clean water supply, purchasing furniture, etc.
'Beyond Intent'
'Beyond Intent' believes in helping the under-privileged and needy; but also those who have the potential but are lacking resources. While doing so, we also emphasize that those who receive help, should in some way give it back to the society and hope that this ‘circle of help’ continues to grow as more and more people receive aid.
